One day I was listed as giving a public speaking event on masculinity, my photo was there, my biography, but it wasn’t me. When I began to look into it, there’s a lot of overlap between all the people who share names on the internet. Created out of an ongoing confusion of which Jordan Pedersen is author of what, this ongoing project explores what it means to have individual identity on the internet, how much privacy we really have, and what happens when our internet selves get pulled back into the “real world”. Compiling and redistributing quotes, accomplishments, deviance, location, portraits, and more readily available information from google searching and social media, this project will ultimately supercede any of our singular selves.
